Growing Together

Christian Education
Melissa McClure, Moderator

Sunday School

Our Sunday school class will finish the DVD series “The Story of Heaven” on March 1st. This session of the series is authored by Randy Frazee and is entitled “The End of Time”. This offers an awe-inspiring peek into the hope and promise of eternal life.

We will have a Lenten DVD study from March 8th through March 22nd. These sessions authored by Lee Strobel include investigating the Bible’s accounts of Jesus’s resurrection and looks at the evidence that Jesus’s tomb was truly empty, and how eyewitness accounts of those who saw Jesus alive after the crucifixion are credible.
We will have a fifth Sunday breakfast on March 29th in place of Sunday school. This is provided by the Christian Education team.

Bible Study

Our Bible study class continues with studying 2 Samuel. We continue to offer Bible readings followed by lively, dynamic discussion. The short story book club will meet on March 16th at the Lazy Hiker. We will discuss the short story “The Ascent” by Ron Rash.

Everyone is welcome to attend any of our lessons.

Lenten Prayer
Lord through these 40 days of Lenten vigil,
Help us to see the price of all our sin. Teach us how prayer makes strong a faith that’s fragile;
Help us confront our sinfulness within.
Seeing past self to other’s need,
Help us to walk the servant’s way with Jesus,
Leading to resurrection hope in-deed!
- from a poem by Stephen I Iassmer

Prayer Cards

We now have prayer cards available for anyone to take to send to someone they know in need of prayer.  They are located in the back of the chapel and sanctuary in a box.  They are provided by Deb and Ray Heckeler.

We Would Love to Have You Visit Soon!
