A message from Pastor Tempe’,
This Memorial Day Sunday is our Fifth Sunday Daily Change “noisy” Fifth Sunday offering  (Previously called Nickel a Meal/Pennies for Hunger)

Dennis Dalgleish is our Lay Reader and Jackie Reed is again our guest organist/pianist.

Our Chapel Band will be playing if all are healthy and well.

Cecilia Morgan offers this information that she has discovered this week…

I have found that many people don't know that you can now go to Covid.gov and order 8 home tests and then order 8 more for the same address.  We had ordered the 1st 8 and in discussion with Griff, we had decided that we wouldn't order the 2nd 8.  However, after this week I went ahead and ordered the 2nd 8.  It takes a while to get them.

Please remember the families of Uvalde, Texas and  pray that they will find comfort and that our nation can find ways to subdue violence and address the causes and treatments for mental illness.

UPCOMING EVENTS

May - Dollars for Mission Offering - Remember your regular offerings, and your single Dollars for Mission as part of worship. These single or designated dollars will go to assist hunger, resettlement, and health needs in the Ukraine.

May 29 - Fifth Sunday - Daily Change - On fifth Sundays we have taken the opportunity to pass the “buckets’ for creative or hunger issues. With each meal we invite you to set aside a small offering to assist with needed projects in our area. Sometimes our offering will go beyond our county and help with the Presbytery’s offering for hunger. Today we are giving our offering to the Presbytery’s hunger programs. You can see the list of this spring’s grant recipients on your bulletin insert. This fund has been totally depleted with these gifts. Your offerings will help to build it back up so that equally beneficial programs can be awarded in the fall.

June 7 - The Lovely Ladies trip to Brevard is rescheduled for June 7th. Sign up in the church hallway.

PLEASE NOTE
We appreciate the work of Jim Geary and others who have helped provide a  video presentation of our service every Sunday over the past year and a half. Please let the church know if you would like this coverage to continue. We have not seen feedback showing that many are still watching the service remotely.

Jim Geary is on vacation, the service will not be filmed this week.

Worship

10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary
PLEASE NOTE
We are now worshiping every Sunday in our sanctuary. As long as our community is still experiencing illness and death from the Corona Virus, we will safe distance in our large sanctuary. We have been using our lovely Chapel, for smaller events and acoustical benefits. Therefore, things like concerts, weddings, Ash Wednesday Service and other events continue to find a home in our historic Chapel.
