Congregational Care & Outreach
Our mission: To share God's love. "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these
brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40

Congregational Care and Outreach team members and other worship teams believe that we have a charge, a mission to help, to lead and support the Church and the community in various ways. We are grateful that the years after Covid have some sense of "normalcy" and have been productive and fruitful in a number of ways. Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 2:00 p.m. in M2
Projects include:
Prayer Partners- through this email system, we share information from our Church family on illnesses, surgeries, emergencies, or special events such as the birth of a grandchild. To join this chain, you need an email address. You can phone a request through the church office or email the request to the designated "monitor" of Pray Partners. Congregants may ask for prayers on behalf of family members, friends, and community colleagues, or themselves.
Family Directory- We rely on our membership software as the basis of our annual Church Family Directory. Photos, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, birthdates, and anniversary dates are all listed in our directory. It is updated twice a year.
Communication and care for the congregation , the homebound, seasonal members, those living out-of-state and the community- the objective of "staying close" is addressed through making phone calls, mailing bulletins, and birthday and other greeting cards. We deliver seasonal gift bags, some meals, and visit the homebound. Our pastor regularly visits those currently living in a care center.
Hosting fellowship events for FPC and the community- Chef Jim McInnes and other volunteers host our annual Easter sunrise breakfast, Thanksgiving Community meal, Fourth of July picnic, and Winter Wonderland (hot chocolate!).
Outreach to FPC members and our community- Our website and Facebook page connects all with our weekly calendar of events, and
special events organized by our ministry teams.
